I think a fic challenge for characters with disabilities would be cool.
Not exactly fanfic, but a shared world -- Torn World has some disabled characters. One of mine, Rai, is legally blind. One of the adoptable characters, Marai, is deaf; she's available for any TW contributor to write about.
