Yuletide Challenge?

Does anyone have the resources/time/desire to run a challenge similar to dark_agenda's chromatic Yuletide challenge? At least in my perception, that challenge has done a fair amount to raise visibility of and thoughtfulness around chromatic sources. I think it would be fabulous if we did a similar challenge for characters with canon disabilities, but I am (obnoxiously) promoting the idea while admitting that there's no way on earth I have time to help run it.

(Only one of my Yuletide nominations is for book starring a character with a disability: Dia Reeves' awesome Bleeding Violet, whose protagonist has bipolar disorder.)

I think this is a fabulous idea, and have been wondering the same thing myself. Unfortunately, with volunteering for dark_agenda and my own RL obligations, I have no time whatsoever to help this year. :( But I'll go signal-boost, at least.

I wish I could help, but I cannot even meet the needs of my own comm without begging kind souls for assistance.
However, a thought! Since intersectionality and all that... if people here wanted to add to the list of chromatic disabled characters we were compiling a while ago to help promote festibility, they could be easily added to a new column in our awesome spreadsheet of information, so that folks could easily find fandoms with chromatic AND disabled characters to write in.

I don't have a huge amount of spoons to spare at the moment, but I could certainly help out with this in some capacity. I'd be very happy to mess around with spreadsheets, for instance!

Perhaps instead of straining anyone's spoons with a formal challenge, this year we could just have volunteers list disabled creators/characters that they recognize in the nomination list, and compile them here? And then transition to a more formal challenge next year if people feel more organized then?

I don't really have the time/spoons for doing a lot right now, though I might be able to help with compiling things, but I do want to mention that I nominated Mark O'Brien's poems -- he wrote poems about being disabled, about assisted living, about having sex, about breathing using an iron lung, and about baseball, among other things. He wrote two books of poetry, and some selections are available on his website.

I think a fic challenge for

Not exactly fanfic, but a
shared world -- Torn World has
some disabled characters. One
of mine, Rai, is legally blind.
One of the adoptable characters,
Marai, is deaf; she's available
for any TW contributor to
write about.
