Star Trek: any, any character: someone who's tired of hearing how medical technology can/will eventually "fix" them, or who feels lonely because disability is so rare among Star Fleet officers/in the rich parts of the Federation. Perhaps it could even be Ensign Melora, because something needs to be done about that episode.
