Oh dear god, phone calls. I'm starting to look into the relay service, because it is this huge, massive problem. My credit card has not been working for over a year because I need to call the company to a) change my address and b) tell them to reactivate it, and I start shaking just thinking about it. You essentially take my e-mail issues and some extra social anxiety, add it all being in real-time, toss in me needing more time to figure things out than the average conversation allows, add a generous splash of hearing issues that are exacerbated by recorded speech, season to taste with a speech disorder and sprinkle accidentally saying things without knowing what they are when too stressed on top for decoration. Then let simmer for twenty-odd years. The resulting dish is my issues with telephone conversation.

...which is to say. I sympathise entirely.
