The Anita Blake fandom has little online support for the same reason Anne Rice's stuff does; the Anne Rice and Laurell K. Hamilton themselves have made it pretty clear that they don't want fanfic about their stuff around, and they're willing to sue (or in Anne Rice's case, literally stalk fanfic authors) over it.
