Let's make a recs post for awesome Yuletide stories about characters with disabilities.
How about link to the story with story name, fandom name, whether the disability plays a major role, and any other information you think we need to know (including warnings you think might be relevant to people in this community). I'll compile all the comments in the body of the post.
♥ Yuletide!

Two Boardwalk Empire fics
Date: 2010-12-25 04:59 pm (UTC)Here are two Boardwalk Empire fics that feature canonically disabled characters. Disability is a small part of both, but they are lovely.

This is how I wish everyone wrote about acquired physical disability -- the mix of pain and loss and how it relates to lives in general, with disability shaping but not defining life.

Another disability inclusive Yuletide story
Date: 2010-12-29 12:13 pm (UTC)I'd like to suggest this Yuletide story based on "V for Vendetta" (2005):
Title: UNMASKED (written for Flyakate)
Url: http://archiveofourown.org/works/140756
It deals with V's disability (in terms of him being burned all over), which according to the ableist logic of the film prevented him from developing a romantic relationship with Evey.
Well, in this story it doesn't:)
