Warning: Canon violence (A Death In The Family), AU, traumatic amnesia, non-canon death of a major supporting character (Joker), parental neglect, loneliness, recovery from life-threatening injuries but not much else.

Summary: An alternate story based on the question/story posed byglymr in her story here (warning for very sad!) - What if Tim had followed Jason to Ethiopia? Tim follows Jason to Ethiopia when he tries to find his mother. At a critical moment Tim acts to save his hero, changing everything as a result of that one moment of bravery.
