“Destroying Science Fiction” was how some SF/F creators responded to those who felt threatened at the turn away from white guys in space. Lightspeed magazine began this $MarginalizedWriters Destroy $Genre juggernaut--which has included dedicated SF, Fantasy, and Horror theme issues by people of color, queer folks, and women--demonstrating what we can bring to the genre. Uncanny Magazine picked up the baton for the $MarginalizedWriters = Disabled People iteration. Uncanny will be releasing a companion Disabled People Destroy Fantasy in the next year.
