I ran across the Tumblr for her the other day, and was fascinated. ASL is very very difficult for me, but I could get a general idea of the content/mood of Bloomberg's speech solely based off her amazing expressions and movements. She's awesome.

I am not Deaf, but I do sign. I appreciate this article a lot, because I definitely felt like people were misinterpreting what was going on with Lydia Callis. Upon seeing the Tumblr, I sad to my partner, "She's not 'extremely' animated; she's just as animated as any good ASL signer! People just aren't used to seeing non-manual markers [e.g. facial expressions and body position] be such an integral part of a language."
