I haven't the time (or, more actually, I keep leaning towards it and then get busy) to find out if the two actors who were shown Singing during the mashup the Glee kids were singing are actually deaf.

The reason I ask is because a few weeks back I went and checked out the IMDB for the episode, and two people were listed as Deaf choir kids - Zack and Lexy, IIRC. When I checked out the IMDB of Zack, he wasn't listed as being Deaf, but was listed as being in a few other productions where one would assume someone would have mentioned he was Deaf.

Does anyone else have time to hunt this down?

According to Rocky Time Warp Blog, it is an actual deaf choir. But that's the only source I've found.

That is such an awesome blog post.

And it hits something that had slipped my mind entirely. They weren't using Sign Language, they were using Manual English. ASL has its own grammar and syntax. It would be like singing the song in, say, Mandarin, and just doing a word for word translation.
