Help for adapting a comic for screenreaders?

access_fandomHi, I was pointed here for some possible help with making my webcomics more accessible.
I'm using the Comicpress plugin, and putting transcripts in the, er, transcript area. My problem is, I have no idea if that's actually usable for screenreaders, and, if it's not, how to fix that.
If it matters, the comic with the transcript is here.
Any help y'all can offer would be greatly appreciated.
