accessibility issues in movie fandoms

I hadn't understood the connection between movie inaccessibility and spoilers -- thank you for taking the time to educate me.

(One situation where lousy memory is a plus: I can't stay spoiled and the fic is great every time. That doesn't mean your "accessible release date = DVD release" isn't a legitimate, and under-recognized, access requirement.)

Thanks for reading. My memory's pretty sketchy as well; I pretty regularly get most of the way through a fic before realising I've read it before. But I don't tend to forget getting spoiled, because it annoys me so much. That would be a useful trick. :)
